A Celtic Infinity Knot has lots of meanings…
It is a symbolic pattern of a loop knot that has no start or finish. The loop pattern goes on infinitely, which is thought to symbolise the eternity of life.
The Infinity Knot is a symbol for the union of Wisdom. In the final liberation of the soul, the knot symbolizes the unbreakable bond of wisdom and compassion.
We have sprinkled some Cornish Spliced magic over 4 beautiful ghost gear and retired fishing gear ropes to create a stunning piece of rope work as a Celtic Infinity knot in our “Shallow Waters” colour range.
The outside rope is a beautiful rope found by our friend at Prussia cove in Cornwall on his adventures coastal cleaning. The white is our pesky rope – always on the move, and the blue is retired fishing gear rope; both are from our Newlyn Harbour fishing friends.
The inside sea green is rope we rescued from the Isles of Scilly on our own island adventures, removing plastics and ghost gear from the islands and then posting it home to ourselves to sprinkle some magic.
By working these gorgeous ropes together we have saved approx 40 feet of rope from going to landfill/incineration/re-entering the sea.
Each Celtic Infinity Knot will look slightly different, and we will add separate listings for different combinations. This rope work is in our “Shallow Waters” colour range as seen in the photo.
