This cute mini monkey fist knot is approx 1.5cm diameter, our smallest monkey fist keyring. It has been made from a length of green ghost gear, rescued on one of our beach cleans in Cornwall.
A handle has been formed whilst making the knot and has allowed us to repurpose the ghost gear into a cute mini Monkey fist keyring.
These keyrings are repurposed out of ghost gear we have rescued on one of our beach cleans.So much of these twines are found on our beach cleans and we are finding different ways to sprinkle some Cornish Spliced magic to save them from being sent to landfill or incineration.
A monkey fist is a traditional knot used by fisherman. A shore line with a monkey fist tied to the end was thrown ashore. Then the other end of the shore line still aboard the boat was tied to a heavier mooring rope to enable it to be pulled ashore.

This mini Monkey Fist keyrings are perfect size to fit into your pocket or are easy to find when searching for your keys in the bottom of your bag.
