Description
A “monkey fist” is a traditional knot used by fishermen. A shore line with a monkey fist tied to the end was thrown from the boat ashore. Then the other end of the shore line still aboard the boat was tied to a heavier mooring rope to enable that mooring rope to be pulled ashore.
Our Monkey Fist Tug Toys have the traditional knot at one end and a spliced loop handle at the other. This tug toy is made from a one of Grandad’s favourite coloured ropes – his choice of “green and white, or white and green” that was kindly donated by one of Grandad’s fishing friends family.
As with all of our toys, our Monkey Fist Tug Toy is for tugging and playing, not for chewing and your dog should not be left unsupervised in case the temptation is too much!
