Description
Our ‘Salty Seadog’ leads have a chunkier handle, made by splicing two lengths of rope together.
We have many varitions of our Salty Seadogs, as we can use 1 colour/rope or 2 different colours/ropes.
This ‘Salty Sea Dog’ lead incorporates 2 different ropes, with the sky blue coming up the main lead and then spliced together with the shorter white section of rope to form the chunkier handle.
This sky blue rope is part of Grandad’s retired fishing gear, used as “head” ropes and “buoy” ropes worked out of St Ives harbour in Cornwall. The Newlyn white rope has been salvaged from Newlyn harbour in Cornwall – where we are working together with the fishermen to save as much retired fishing gear as possible from going to landfill or incineration.
Rope thickness 1.5cm main lead section.
