Description
This Float Keyring has been made using another of Grandad’s sky blue ropes, incorporating a yellow float salvaged from Newlyn harbour, using a spliced loop to attach a keying and lobster clasp clip.
The lobster clasp gives a quick release option, which is great if, like us, you always lose your keys and you like to clip them to the inside of your bag when you’re beach cleaning.
The float makes it easy to find your keys in the bottom of your bag and, if your keyring should fall out of your bag when on your beach adventures, the float stops your keys disappearing quickly into the sand.
Determined to use every little bit of rope and ghost gear that we can, to save it going to landfill or incineration, our Float Keyrings not only help us to achieve this, but are a lovely way for people to have a little bit of Cornwall in their pocket.
This beautiful rope was part of Grandad’s fishing gear from over 40 years ago and was worked out of St Ives harbour in Cornwall.
Approx 15cm/17cm long x 3cm wide
Float 6.5 cm
