Our Marsden Bay Hag Stone Keyrings have been made with stones kindly collected and posted to us by one of our #AdventurerFriends. He discovered these mystical stones during his beach cleans and we have combined them with ghost gear found on our Cornish beach cleans, plus plastic and metal swivels from the Stelissa’s haul rescued 125miles off Lands End.
A Hag Stone is a stone that has a naturally occurring hole through it and are normally found near the sea or river beds. The holes occur either as a result of the boring of a bivalve mollusk called a ‘piddock,’ or from coarse sand and/or smaller stones repeatedly grinding into a stone’s surface. Such stones are believed to have magical properties.
Our Hag Stone keyrings are perfect for anyone that loves to have a piece of Cornwall in their pocket, with a mythical spirit and wants to help prevent ghost gear going to landfill or incineration.
