What a hectic summer we’ve had!…
The past two months have been busy ones, with some events and visits, added to our usual mix of making (sometimes on the beach!) and salvaging.
We were extremely proud to be invited to take part in Cornwall Museum’s “Adrift – Lego Lost At Sea” exhibition and Cornwall Heritage Trust’s “Arwenek” celebrating all things Cornish.
We have also loved supporting events such as St Ives Lifeboat Day and meeting people like Laura Mac when we visited Rewind Radio to talk on air about our support for the Fishermen’s Mission.
Then there has been our popular “Strangest Finds” competition, which always keeps us busy on Twitter.
There’s more about our travels on our social media, so do visit Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to read all about it.
We’ve heard rumours that the summer isn’t over yet with more sunshine on its way. Which is going to feel strange, as we turn our thoughts to Christmas – which means wreaths and decorations are on the splicing table.
Do keep an eye on our social media and webshop if you’d like a #GreenChristmas this year; with Cornish Spliced decorations all made from salvaged rope / ghost gear to prevent it from going to landfill, incineration or re-entering the sea. Each decoration will be tagged with its past-life story, so they come with a tale to tell.
So sit back with a rum and shrub, browse our online shop and choose some gifts for us to deliver directly to your loved-ones this Christmas. Easy-peasy Christmas shopping, for those who would like something unique, sprinkled with a little bit of eco-magic, from Cornwall with love.
